Visy Container Deposit Scheme - Reverse Vending Machine Signage

Performance In High-Use Public Environments Braille Tactile Signs Aust. is proud to support Visy in the delivery of Braille Tactile Signs for Reverse Vending Machines across Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme. Designed for high-use, public-facing environments, our signage supports accessibility, durability, and consistent performance in real-world conditions. The Relationship Braille Tactile Signs Aust. worked directly with Visy across design consulting, prototyping, and production, supporting a clear and collaborative process from concept through to delivery. This engagement reflects a practical and technically aligned approach, with both teams focused on achieving reliable, fit-for-purpose outcomes. The Outcome Our Braille Tactile Signs are designed to perform in demanding environments, supporting compliance, durability, and usability across high-traffic locations. For Reverse Vending Machines, signage needed to remain legible, secure, and intact despite constant use, exposure, and cleaning requirements. Through considered design and material selection, we supported an outcome aligned with both accessibility requirements and operational performance. Value Over Time Quality is proven over time. In high-use environments, durability and hygiene are critical to maintaining performance and presentation. Braille Tactile Signs Aust. focuses on delivering continuous surface signage solutions that can be cleaned thoroughly without impacting the integrity of the product, supporting long-term reliability and consistent usability. Project Highlights Braille Tactile Signs Aust. supported the development and rollout of Braille Tactile Signs for Reverse Vending Machines across Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme. Our involvement included: Design consultation aligned to user interaction and accessibility Prototyping to confirm suitability for the environment Production of durable, compliant Braille Tactile Signage  To support the rollout, signage was supplied in structured batches, enabling a smooth and coordinated deployment across multiple locations. The solution supports consistent performance across high-volume environments, including installations such as Federation Square, where machines operate continuously in public settings. Client Experience “We are grateful to the team at Braille Tactile Signs Aust. for the successful delivery of the BTS labels on our Reverse Vending Machines, delivered as part of Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme (CDS Vic).  Quality and durability was a key factor with our product choice, paired by collaborating with a local family business and an Australian Made product. BTS Aust.'s knowledgeable and passionate approach focusses on getting the job done right the first time, and we would highly recommend their products and services.” Neil Royle - Engineering & Design Manager - Visy Continuing The Relationship We value our engagement with Visy and the opportunity to support projects that deliver practical, accessible outcomes in everyday environments. We look forward to continuing to support future initiatives with the same focus on performance, reliability, and ease of use.

Village Roadshow / Village Cinemas

Where Craftsmanship Led To Innovation Braille Tactile Signs Aust. has a long-standing connection with Village Roadshow and Village Cinemas, with roots dating back to the early 1990s through A.S.A.D. Signs & Precision Engravers. This relationship reflects a shared focus on quality, detail, and high-end project delivery; values that continue to shape our approach today. The Relationship Through A.S.A.D. Signs, Roland Gatt worked closely with Village Roadshow and Warner Bros. across a range of cinema and retail projects, both locally and internationally. This work included the design, prototyping, and manufacture of architecturally designed elements, contributing to environments recognised for their attention to detail, presentation, and high-quality finish. The Origin In the early 2000s, Village Roadshow required Braille Tactile Signage as part of their commitment to high quality, inclusive cinema environments. At that time, there were no established local options for Braille Tactile Signage in Australia. Roland Gatt, through A.S.A.D. Signs & Co., was already working closely with Village Roadshow and Warner Brothers, delivering architecturally designed elements across their cinema projects locally and internationally – including their well-known ‘star door handles’. Known for their focus on detail and premium finishes, Village Roadshow sought a solution that aligned with these same high standards. With a background in engineering, fabrication, and decades of signage experience, Roland undertook the research, development and prototyping required to create our very first Braille Tactile Sign solution. This work marked the beginning of Braille Tactile Signs Aust. The Outcome The initial solution delivered for Village Roadshow met the requirements of the time, providing compliant, durable signage suitable for the environment. From this foundation, the product and technology have continued to evolve, leading to the advanced solutions delivered today. Value Over Time Quality is proven over time. What began as a project-driven solution has evolved into a specialist capability, shaped by ongoing development, real-world application, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Braille Tactile Signs Aust. focuses on delivering solutions that perform over time, supporting long-term reliability and consistent outcomes across projects. Project Highlights Braille Tactile Signs Aust. has supported Village Roadshow and Village Cinemas across a range of projects over many years, contributing to both cinema and office environments. This includes the delivery of Braille Tactile Signs aligned with project requirements, supporting consistency, usability, and presentation across multiple sites. Client Experience “A.S.A.D. Precision and BTS Aust. have successfully provided services for our company across a large number of cinema and office projects throughout Victoria and on a global scale. They have consistently demonstrated a commitment to prompt service, a high standard of workmanship, and a willingness to assist in meeting our brief.” – Village Cinemas Continuing The Relationship We value our long-standing connection with Village Roadshow and the role it has played in shaping the foundations of Braille Tactile Signs Aust. We continue to carry forward the same focus on quality, craftsmanship, and performance across every project we support.
