Step 1

Prepare the Substrate

Mark out the installation area using masking tape on all four sides. Ensure the tape is firmly adhered to create a clean, straight border that defines the area for tactile installation.

Step 2

Apply Primer

Apply primer evenly across the entire taped-off area. The primer ensures a strong bond between the substrate and the tactile indicators. Allow adequate drying time as specified by the primer manufacturer before proceeding.

Step 3

Start Placing Tiles

Begin placing tactile indicator tiles in one corner of the primed surface. Work systematically across the area, ensuring each tile is aligned correctly before pressing firmly into position.

Step 4

Continue Coverage

Continue laying tiles row by row until approximately three-quarters of the area is covered. Maintain consistent spacing between tiles and check alignment regularly. Keep the remaining primed surface clear until you are ready to complete the final section.

Step 5

Press & Bond

Once all tiles are placed, apply firm pressure from all four sides and from above to ensure a complete bond. Use a rubber mallet or roller if required, working methodically across the entire surface to eliminate any air gaps or loose edges.

Step 6

Installation Complete

Remove the masking tape carefully while the adhesive is still slightly tacky for the cleanest edge. Allow the installation to cure fully before opening the area to foot traffic. Inspect all tile edges and joints to confirm a flush, secure finish.
