Braille Tactile Sports Ground Diagrams
Braille Tactile Sports Ground Diagrams were created to support people who are blind or have low vision to experience and engage with sport in a more inclusive and meaningful way.
From following the layout of a tennis court, to understanding player positioning and movement, these Tactile Diagrams create new opportunities for participation, connection, conversation, and shared experiences through sport.
While originally designed to support the Blind and Low Vision community, the diagrams have also shown broader value in helping people engage with sport through tactile and hands-on learning experiences. A reminder that when inclusion is thoughtfully considered, the outcome often creates benefits far beyond the original intent.
For Braille Tactile Signs Aust., this initiative is about far more than a product. It is about creating genuine community impact through partnership, inclusion, and shared purpose.

For many people, driving represents freedom, independence, confidence, and connection to everyday life. For some participants, “In The Driver’s Seat” provides the opportunity to experience being behind the wheel for the very first time, while for others it offers the chance to reconnect with an experience they may no longer have access to.
“In The Driver’s Seat” creates an extraordinary opportunity for people who are blind or have low vision (BLV) to experience the excitement, participation, and empowerment of driving within a safe and supported environment.

About the Event
“In The Driver’s Seat” is an inclusive community event held at Sandown Raceway and now coordinated by Lions Australia, following more than 25 years of dedication, funding, and leadership by the Warrandyte Lions Club, who founded and developed the event into the incredible experience it is today.
The event brings together participants, volunteers, professional driving instructors, families, and supporters for a truly unique experience, supporting confidence, participation, and independence in a safe and encouraging environment.
With approximately 600 attendees, including 150 BLV drivers, the day highlights the power of community collaboration and the importance of creating opportunities that are accessible and inclusive for everyone.

Vision Australia Santa Fun Run
The Vision Australia Santa Fun Run is a vibrant community event that brings people together through participation, fundraising, and shared experiences in support of the Blind and Low Vision community.
Braille Tactile Signs Aust. is proud to support the event through the production of accessible signage, including directional signs, merchandise, marquee and sponsor signage and an interactive event Braille Tactile Map designed to support orientation, engagement, and interaction throughout the event environment.
