Partnership Built on Trust and Performance
Braille Tactile Signs Aust. is proud to support public transport accessibility across Victoria, working with Public Transport Victoria (PTV), formerly Metlink, on large-scale Braille Tactile Sign deployments. Our role is to deliver compliant, durable signage solutions designed to perform in high-traffic, outdoor environments, supporting accessibility, usability, and long-term reliability across the network.
The Relationship
Our relationship began with Metlink and has continued through to Public Transport Victoria, supporting the ongoing rollout and maintenance of Braille Tactile Timetable and ID signage across the state.
We have worked closely with delivery partners over the years, including ongoing collaboration with project teams responsible for rollout and maintenance, ensuring continuity, reliability, and confidence in supply.
The Outcome
Our Braille Tactile Signs are designed to perform in some of the most demanding real-world conditions.
Installed across thousands of bus stops, the signage supports compliance, durability, and legibility in environments exposed to high traffic, weather extremes, and vandalism risk. These outcomes are critical in ensuring consistent accessibility across the network.
Value Over Time
Quality is proven over time.
In high-use public environments, signage must perform reliably over the long term to avoid unnecessary maintenance, replacement, and disruption.
Braille Tactile Signs Aust. focuses on delivering solutions that withstand these conditions, supporting long-term reliability, consistent performance over time, and value beyond the initial investment.
Project Highlights
Braille Tactile Signs Aust. has supported the development and ongoing rollout of a fully customised Braille Tactile Timetable and ID system across metropolitan and regional Victoria. This project has delivered over 26,000 installed units to date, making it one of the largest deployments of its kind.
Each sign incorporates a unique identification system, supported by robust quality control processes developed to ensure accuracy and consistency across the network. Following initial verification processes, confidence in the system and manufacturing quality enabled ongoing rollout with complete reliability.
Designed using continuous surface encapsulated technology, the signage provides resistance to vandalism and durability in harsh outdoor conditions, supporting long-term usability across the network.
